Our Story
Born from a Community’s Need
In October 2010, the DSK Group NPO was founded to fill a critical gap — there was no organisation on the North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal dedicated to helping survivors of Gender-Based Violence. Our founder, the Late Mrs Rosy Chettier, had a vision: that every survivor deserves a safe place, a listening ear, and a path to a new life.
Over 15 years, we have grown from a small community initiative into a fully registered NPO (221-939) and PBO (930072307) — trusted by the Soul City Institute for Social Justice and endorsed by provincial government stakeholders.
Our 6-stage empowerment framework has achieved a 40% measurable improvement in survivor outcomes and directly supported over 1,193 individuals and families across KZN.
